Have you ever seen a farmer hard at work with a massive combine and think, "I want to drive one of those"? Sure you have. You have also spent way too much time playing
FarmVille on Facebook. That's where Excalibur's
Farming Simulator 2011 comes into play. Use tractors, plows, balers, and more to become successful and even work with livestock to make money. Here are some screenshots that show what you'll be able to expect when the game is released on PC next month. Find more details over at
the official site.
Note:
It's not being released in the US at this time, but I figured I'd post this for our friends across the pond!
Excalibur Publishing Ltd. busy preparing for the launch of ‘Farming Simulator 2011’
Excalibur Publishing Ltd is due to release Farming Simulator 2011, the sequel to one of the best selling simulators of all time, on November 5th. Picking up on the farming craze that has struck the nation Farming Simulator 2011 satisfies with stunning new graphics and great new features.
Starting with the option to breed livestock you have full responsibility for the care of your animals. Your success depends on your feeding regime and attention to your stock. This will allow you to earn money by selling off fresh milk to dairies and spraying your fields with organic fertiliser. You could of course decide crop farming is more for you and can grow a wide range of crops including barley, corn, rape and wheat which you can sell for a profit.
Either way, the larger the farm grows the more you will have to rely on machines to help you tend to it. Increasing your income means you can invest in anything from tractors and combine harvesters to seed drills, balers and loaders. Thanks to special licensing you will be able to enjoy amazing attention to detail with machines from manufacturers such as DEUTZ FAHR, KRONE, HORSCH PÖTTINGER and VOGEL & NOOT featured in Farming Simulator 2011.
Robert Stallibrass of Excalibur Publishing says: “Farming Simulator 2011 has really stepped up to the mark. Besides the afore mentioned features, the new multiplayer mode lets you hook up with your friends online and work your farm together. It’s no longer you against the farm. You can also create and download custom vehicles and tools via a special modding feature.”
The product will retail at £24.99, is available on pre-order at www.excalibur-publishing.com and will officially hit the shelves in all major game retailers on 5th November 2010.
