Sega sends word that their Mech combat game
Chromehounds has gone gold and will be in stores on July 11th. I know I'm looking forward to playing the game after getting a chance to try it out at E3 this year. If you want more information about the game check out the
interview we did last week with Justin Lambros, the producer of the game.
SEGA of America is pleased to announce that Chromehounds, the first squad based mech combat game exclusively for the Microsoft Xbox 360, has gone gold in North America and is scheduled to ship in stores nationwide on Tuesday, July 11, 2006. Chromehounds, developed by renowned developer From Software, is SEGA’s latest original IP and features an unprecedented amount of Hound customization, multiplayer online combat and a robust single player game. From the developers of the famed Armored Core series, Chromehounds brings the mech genre to the next level with true next generation graphics and is one of the first games to take part of the Xbox Live Server Proxy, LSP, allowing players to enjoy more community online feature ensuring that no two battles are alike. While online, players will be able to experience a truly immersive battle with the persistent Neroimus war mode in addition to the standard shooter genre matches such as capture the flag, deathmatch, free battle, etc. All of this takes place in an alternate reality near future where three superpower nations are fighting against each other in an effort to gain total war domination. Giant war machines called Hounds are the weapons of choice in this war torn environment. Players will be able to choose from six different Hounds and fully create and customize them, making no two Hounds alike, all with different advantages and disadvantages when on the battlefield. The possibilities are endless!
