APB closing down their servers after a few months. A shame, yes but the game might not be dead yet. Reports are that
Epic Games is considering buying
APB and perhaps continuing work on the game.
This wouldn't be the first time a failed MMO got a second change.
Hellgate: London currently lives on in Korea although rumors are that the game might be coming back live in the U.S.
APB does use the Unreal engine so if Epic does pick it up, they have a bunch of experts to get the game working well. Of course, they're pretty busy themselves with their projects but who knows. We'll see what develops out of this.
