The Sesame Street franchise was around when the video game era started, and it is still going strong today. Warner Bros. Interactive has announced 2 new titles related to the franchise for the Nintendo Wii, DS, and home PC platforms.
Sesame Street: Elmo’s A-to-Zoo Adventure and
Sesame Street: Cookie’s Counting Carnival are being designed specifically for the preschool-age games of the world. Both games include what are being labeled as “gameplay helpers”, which will help limit the buttons they have access to on the various input devices (shown below).
A few years back, I would have simply passed on a news article like this, but now that I have a preschooler of my own, this just calls out to me. I have a great appreciation for games like this which aim to not only educate children but help to usher in a new era of gamers. I know that my daughter will absolutely love these games, regardless of how “good” they may be and both of these will definitely end up in my household.
