Nintendo's (Japanese) Mature-Game Initiative

 Nintendo is taking the initiative to effectively market mature titles on the Nintendo Wii as such, at least in Japan.  The Big N doesn't want there to be any confusion in the consumers eyes as to what sort of content is in the various games.  The new steps in this initiative are being taken for the first time with their own game, Zengeki no Reginleiv.  Mature rated games, which in Japan are labeled as CERO D (or C), will now be sold in black DVD cases.  The goal of the program is to make it easier for consumers to differentiate between the titles that are intended for family enjoyment and the more serious (content-wise) productions when browsing the store shelves.  Reginleiv isn't the only title sporting the new look;  the Japanese version of Sega's Madworld (not published by Sega in Japan) was released last week and sports the same black box.  It is unknown as to whether or not Nintendo will pursue the same initiative outside of Japan but it would make sense if they did.  Personally, I like the look of the new boxes and welcome the addition to my collection just for the visual difference.  They look sharp...
