More On: Toxic X1900 XTX
This was another product I saw at CES and Sapphire has finally unveiled their new innovative ATI card. The Sapphire Blizzard Radeon X1900 XTX is Sapphire's liquid cooling X1900 XTX card. The cooling unit takes up a PCI slot and it features a silent 12V mini pump to circulate the coolant around. There are two speeds on the cooler so you can go slower and thus generate less noise. The cooling solution works out of the box so you don't have to do any filling or maintenance yourself.

Now adding silent cooling to the highest levels of graphics performance ever achieved in the PC industry, Sapphire Technology has just introduced a new Blizzard liquid cooled model in its Radeon X1900 series.

Taking up a single PCI slot in addition to the PCI-Express slot occupied by the graphics card, the new Blizzard cooler is a sealed and silent liquid cooling solution. Maximum efficiency is achieved by the use of a Pure Copper Water Block on the GPU for superior heat conductivity together with a Pure Copper Radiator in the Blizzard cooler for great heat dissipation. Coolant is circulated with a Silent yet powerful 12V mini pump with superb reliability. Air is extracted from the case by an integral transparent blue LED fan, passed through the radiator and vented out of the case at the rear mounting bracket. Two speeds of operation give a choice of lower noise or higher efficiency. (18dBA at 2000RPM, 26dBA at 2500RPM).

Pre filled and sealed, the Blizzard cooler is easy to install and has removed the risks of spillage associated with most liquid cooling solutions. Industrial-grade rubber tube links the GPU block with the rest of the system to minimize liquid evaporation and is fitted with stress relief springs supporting the tubes against damage or distortion at their connecting points. Provision is made to top up the system when necessary.

The Blizzard cooler was developed in conjunction with Thermaltake and is exclusive to Sapphire. Commenting on the introduction, Joseph Lin of Thermaltake said “We are delighted to be working with Sapphire with its industry leading reputation and helping to deliver a revolutionary product that will be a clear winner in this market”

The exciting new Sapphire BLIZZARD RADEON X1900XTX is the top performer in the RADEON X1900 series from Sapphire. This highly efficient cooling system will allow enthusiasts to enhance performance well above the standard speeds of 650MHz engine clock and 775MHz (1550MHz effective) memory clock frequency using the Sapphire exclusive TRIXX overclocking tool supplied.

Features of the X1900 series architecture include 48 pixel shader processors and 8 vertex shader processors together with a 512-bit ring-bus based internal memory controller together delivering true Direct X 9 Shader Model 3.0 compatibility. The huge dynamic range of this new processor enables ultra realistic effects - such as dynamic soft shadows and the physical simulation of fluids like rain or water - to be processed faster than ever before.

Image quality is unrivalled, with 64-bit floating point High Dynamic Range rendering (HDR), blending capability and a new higher quality anisotropic filtering (AF) combined with up to 12x Anti-Aliasing (AA) when used in Crossfire mode. Two DVI outputs are provided and Dual-link DVI is supported with resolutions up to 2650 x 1600. The architecture also supports AvivoTM delivering vibrant high fidelity images and video playback to the latest High definition video standards and is HDTV ready.

Retail versions of these new Sapphire graphics accelerators are shipping with Sapphire Select, the exciting new way to deliver a choice of games to the end user. Each card is bundled with a DVD containing a selection of top applications and games from several leading software houses. The end customer can play each of the games for a one hour trial before choosing which titles he or she wants to keep and using the activation codes for those titles.

Sapphire’s RADEON X1000 series now delivers the fastest and best graphics and video performance in the industry. For more details please visit www.sapphiretech.com
