Does anyone else find it hard to believe that
DOFUS boasts over 25 million players? I have never even heard of this game before but there is a first time for everything. The fact that the game is half video game and half interactive cartoon must be part of the appeal. There are free-to-play options as well as varying subscription levels.
ANKAMA has completely rewritten the graphics engine, server and client code which leads them to call the game
DOFUS 2.0. Now for the bad news: at launch,
DOFUS 2.0 will only support new characters. ANKAMA is offering an incentive in the game with double XP and double the drop rate until December 16. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until they bring character migration in the near future.
