Ten years ago this month Tim Brooks, designer of 101st: The Airborne
Invasion of Normandy and other tactical combat PC games, was fed up
with the world of mainstream game development and retail shelfwhoring.
Listening to not only his heart but the tiny voice in the back of his
skull that sounded an awful lot like Maynard G. Krebbs, Tim decided to
do something about the situation. And so working tirelessly he created
his very own baseball diamond in his back yard. Unfortunately that
didn't really help with the whole computer games thing so he decided
to form his own independent publishing company, and thus Shrapnel
Games was born. And it was good.

From the humble beginnings of working on a single title to today's
extensive catalog of award-winning and critically acclaimed games,
Shrapnel Games has enjoyed a decade of success. The success comes from
not only the awesome developers we have the pleasure of working with
but all our wonderful customers over the years. If we were married
tradition says we should be giving tin or aluminum (Wait, really? Hey
look, I bought you a carton of aluminum foil, happy anniversary!) but
we figure you'd just hate us in the morning. So instead we're having a
sale. A sale may seem cold and impersonal, but realize that every
