Microsoft's project Natal wowed a lot of gamers and press at the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo and that shouldn't be any surprise. Gamers have been enamored with the idea of "experiencing" the games they love for a long time now. The strongest catalyst and one of the oldest and most ambitious attempts to bring a different experience to video games was the Mattel Power Glove for the Nintendo Entertainment System. I call it the Mattel Power Glove because I like many others I don't like the idea of Nintendo taking all the blame for such a god awful product. Regardless of whether you loved the power glove, hated it, or don't know what I'm talking about you can't deny that at the time the idea of controlling a game with hand gestures was a cool concept. So when I saw the announcement trailer for project Natal, and was absolutely stoked, I had this strange feeling I had seen these types of movement and gestures before...
I'm not saying that Project Natal is going to be a horrible experience but I would like to caution all Xbox 360 owners out there that a new game experience doesn't necessarily make a fun game experience.
