The fact of the matter is: Numark makes DJ equipment. Some of the top-selling, highest-rated DJ equipment on the planet. They win awards for this stuff. So when Numark designed the "Scratch Deck" for
Scratch: The Ultimate DJ, we can all rest assured knowing that it wasn't designed by a toy company. Not saying that
DJ Hero's is. I'm just
saying.
The Scratch Deck has a free-spinning, touch-sensitive turntable, five Akai Pro MPC-style drum pads, a crossfader -- and the
vinyl part reportedly feels like
vinyl. Unfortunately, just hazarding a guess from the images, the size of the record is closer to the smaller 45s instead of the larger 33s (note the size of the D-pad for comparison). Can't have everything, I guess.
