Everybody loves Bubble Bobble. It's true, I have yet to meet a single person who didn't immediately fall in love with Bubble Bobble when they played it as a kid. And every time somebody reviews it,
Bubble Bobble always rings up high scores. Well, Bubble Bobbleheads, today Microsoft officially announced the existence of
Bubble Bobble Neo for the Xbox Live Arcade. This download game will update the 23 year old series and (hopefully) offer better multiplayer modes. Unfortunately little is known about the title, so you'll have to hold tight until the price, release date and all other important information is announced. At this point all we know is that there's a new Bubble Bobble and I couldn't be more excited.
This announcement was part of a Microsoft press conference that took place in Japan only a few hours ago. The event also featured information about the upcoming
Space Invaders Extreme XBLA,
Garou: Mark of the Wolves,
OD Beat Drop and
King of FIghters 2002: Unlimited Match. And if that wasn't all, Microsoft announced that both Square Enix and SNK are hard at work on new shoot-em-ups for the Xbox Live Arcade. I can't wait to learn more about these title, some of which won't make it out until sometime next year.
