Here you go,
all the gory details on how Time Warner's going to start with their test of capping bandwidth. A few days ago I
posted an article on what capping bandwidth by TW could mean for you as a gamer. 5, 10, 20, 40, and 100GB caps will be set for the test markets. Pricing will be from $30 to $75. When you go over you pay $1 per GB with a max of $75. I'm not sure if you hit the $75 limit if they will just stop your Internet or if you can keep downloading but let's say for arguments say they don't. You're looking at $150 for unlimited usage here. Yeah, not very appealing is it? I'm going to have to install a new firmware on my router to see how much bandwidth I do use a month but I'm guessing I do use more than 100GB a month. Now, imagine living with a few friends in college and you guys all share the Internet connection. Kiss that $150 goodbye for sure in the first week or so.
