EA has alerted us that a new patch is out for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3. The patch, version 1.05, features a DRM De-authorization tool and a map builder as well as some bug fixes and balancing fixes. At least there's something to help you move your copy of Red Alert 3 to another computer but I think they should do away with the DRM in any case or choose a better one. SecuROM's not one of mine or anyone's favorite.
COMMAND & CONQUER RED ALERT 3 PATCH 1.05 AVAILABLE NOW
First Major Patch Includes Easy-to-Use DRM De-Authorization Tool, Powerful WorldBuilder Map Editor, Balancing and Bug Fixes
The first major patch for EALA’s Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 is available for download now. Patch 1.05 is mainly focused on giving players two tools the Command & Conquer community has been asking for:
* DRM De-authorization Tool: This easy-to-use tool allows gamers to de-authorize previously authenticated machines so they ultimately have the freedom to play Red Alert 3 on an unlimited number of PCs.
* WorldBuilder: The powerful map making tool gives players full creative control and all the tools they will need to make the ultimate Red Alert 3 skirmish or multiplayer map.
The patch also includes technical bug fixes and balancing fixes across all three of the game’s factions. For a full list of notes and to download the patch, please visit www.commandandconquer.com.
