After being rumored for the better part of the past year, Nintendo has finally unveiled (officially) the
Nintendo Wiimote Plus. The new and improved Wiimote controller integrates the Wii MotionPlus technology into the standard controller, eliminating the need for an add-on device. The new controller, despite including the new technology, results in the same sized controller as the original Wiimote.
Nintendo has only announced a release date for Japan at this time. The
Wiimote Plus is launching over there on November 11, 2010. Nintendo is releasing the controller in five separate colors: white, black, blue, pink, and red. There will also be new nunchucks released at the same time in the same color varieties. You can check out a few pictures of the device from
