Wii RBN goes unplugged...

...and not in a good way. This week’s update of new songs for Rock Band 3 appears to be the last that will be coming to Nintendo’s console.
Harmonix states the the decision to drop Rock Band Network support for the Wii is based mostly on the lack of demand for that particular outlet. The announcement was made on the official Rock Band website. The costs involved with bringing the songs to the Wii exceeds the demand therefore no additional updates will be submitted by Harmonix.
It will be interesting to see if this change of heart is reflected when the next Rock Band game is announced. Should the Wii remain a viable platform in this generation for another year, will ROck Band 4 end up being 360 / PS3 only? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below...
