Valve officially reached out to all of this year's IGF (Independent Games Festival) finalists, offering them automatic Steam Greenlight approval. Provided the finalists want their game on Steam with its 75 million users, they can go straight into talks of getting PC, Mac, and Linux distribution.
Papers, Please and DEVICE 6 lead the nominee count with nods in four IGF award categories. The Stanley Parable and Dominique Pamplemousse in "It's All Over Once the Fat Lady Sings!" go in with three noms each. Don't Starve is also prepped to have a good night with two nominations and two honorable mentions.
The IGF 2014 Awards takes place the evening of March 19 during the GDC (Game Developers Conference) in San Francisco.
