Guild Wars 2® Flame & Frost: The Razing
March content update brings action, adventure, improvements to WvW system

SEATTLE – March 28, 2013: NCSOFT® and ArenaNet today announced the arrival of Guild Wars 2 Flame & Frost: The Razing, the third installment of this four-part content series.
In the latest update, players will meet the norn Braham and Rox the charr, two Tyrians who are desperately battling to defend their homelands against a hybrid army set on annihilation. Players can choose to join Braham on his journey to find aid for those norn who stayed behind in the foothills of Shiverpeaks when the army attacked, or team up with Rox as she strives to prove her worth on a dangerous errand in the midst of a war zone.
In addition to the new content, the update delivers significant improvements to World vs. World (WvW) play, notably, the elimination of culling and the addition of a new progression system, as well as enhancements to the guild mission systems.
·         Elimination of culling: This update does away with culling, the process by which some enemy players become invisible in large groups. Now, more characters will be visible on screen in WvW, even in the largest pitched battles.
·         Improved WvW performance: The new WvW progression system includes new World XP and new WvW Ranks. Players can use their WvW Ranks to purchase new titles and abilities exclusive to WvW, and take advantage of new WvW achievements that help track and plan their progress.
·         New guild bounty targets: Three new bounty hunt targets are on the run in Tyria, and they’re more elusive and menacing than ever. Players can work with their guilds to bring these fugitives to justice, earning new rewards and other system improvements.
·         New guild mission types: Smaller or more casual guilds can participate in new bounty hunt training sessions to hone their skills for bigger challenges, while still accessing and unlocking guild content.
The update will also activate leader boards that feature WvW rankings, Player vs. Player (PvP) rankings and total achievement points.
