The circle of Nintendo Power’s life comes to a close

It truly is a sad month in the world of video games. As previously reported, Nintendo’s long running Nintendo Power magazine is ceasing publication this month. That we already knew, but what we didn’t know is who or what would grace the final cover of this long-running publication. As it turns out, things are ending in a manner very similar to how it began.
As reported by ArsTechnica, the final cover reflects the original cover from when the magazine debuted. In a tribute to Nintendo’s main-man Mario, the final issue is a recreation of the original Super Mario Bros. 2 cover reflecting New Super Mario Bros. 2, which was released earlier this year.
