Retro 2D platformers are all the rage these days, from arty pretentious fare like Braid to straight up white knuckle HARD throwbacks like Super Meat Boy and the upcoming Cloudberry Kingdom. It was only a matter of time before mad genius Suda 51 tried his hand at the genre, and the result is Black Knight Sword, now available on XBLA and PSN. From the trailer it looks like Travis Touchdown had a baby with the Monty Python animator. I'm glad Suda is making me blink and scratch my head again--no offense but Lollipop Chainsaw was just a little too obvious and pandering to the "LOLZ so randum!" crowd, to the point that it reminded me of Scott Pilgrim, a movie I've tried hard to forget.
