Jerry Lambert has been the face of Sony's PlayStation campaign for a while as Kevin Butler, although he's been rather quiet lately. Recently, he was
spotted in Bridgestone ad offering up a free Wii for those that get tires. That ad might have gotten Mr. Lambert in trouble.
It seems Sony's not too keen on him appearing in an ad playing with a competitor's system and
they are suing Jerry over it. I'm guessing Jerry has some non-compete clause in his contract or something to that effect. Being in a commercial playing another console, even if it's not for a rival console manufacturer, isn't something that would sit well, especially since he was the face of PlayStation for so long.
Guess we'll have to see how this goes, but for now Kevin's VP of Not So Smart Business Decisions.
