I'm a big fan of long shots done well. Two that come to my mind quick are ones featured in Children of Men and Jean-Claude Van Damme's JCVD.
Sony's been trying a few of these types of commercials and the latest focuses on the PlayStation through the years. It starts out in 1995 with a 4:3 video and to be honest, I didn't even noticed when it become a 16:9 shot.
It's got some nice edits to make it seem like a long shot and they did a pretty good job at switching out the various models of the PlayStation while the friends are playing. Overall, a solid effort from their part and a commercial I really enjoyed.
