UK developer Rebellion is pretty hit or miss with their games but I can't help but be a fan. I've enjoyed the publisher's titles ever since the pants-pissingly scary Aliens vs. Predator back in 2000, and while their recent HD reboot of that game didn't surpass the original's elegant horror brilliance, I still had fun with it. Their Sniper Elite series has also scored high marks with fans of historical WW2 shooters.
Their latest project, as yet unnamed and teased in the trailer below, looks like some mix of Sniper Elite and the occult. It's no secret that Hitler put stock in occult mysticism and his right hand man Heinrich Himmler was absolutely nuts for the stuff, so a WW2 sniper game with some black magic mixed in definitely sounds interesting. Rebellion will be announcing more on February 14th.
Footsteps quicken in the fog. Although the lone gunman’s pace is swift the growing echoes of shuffling never slacken. They come.
In the latest teaser trailer from Rebellion, the leading independent studio behind Aliens vs. Predator and Sniper Elite V2, one man is utterly alone amidst the chaos of war. But there are worse things to fear than bombs and bullets here.
With the debut date of 14th February 2013, PC fans will soon get the chance to discover for themselves just what is in store for those brave enough to venture into the ‘Totraum’.
