Radical Entertainment, makers of the
Prototype series and other games for 20 years, is no longer in business.
This tweet from Rob Bridgett, Seinor Audio Designer, confirms the studio's closing.
It's too bad as I thought the Prototype series was fun, but they didn't sell enough to keep the company from going under. I remember when I saw the first game for the first time at CES 2009 in the Dolby theater. It looked like such fun and over the top action. I thought they had something going here.
I hope the fine folks that were with Radical get a job soon with other companies. They got some talented folks there.
