Another title displayed as part of the PAX East Indie Game Challenge, AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! -- A Reckless Disregard for Gravity was developed by Dejobaan Games and recently released. It’s another title developed in the Boston area, and the city ostensibly features heavily in the game.

It’s a fairly simple concept really, you’re base jumping into a futuristic Boston, Massachusetts. There are multiple buildings floating at different levels, and the goal is to come as close as possible to the various buildings without touching them. You finish the mission by landing safely on the platform at the bottom. You use a parachute to slow your descent, but the higher you open it, the harder it is to land successfully, and the fewer points you collect.

There are also some interaction points with in game spectators that let you add some personality to the game that you can respond to positively or negatively (aka The Finger). You can also fight the man by tagging government buildings as you go by. I was told there is a serene mode that is just a gentle fall that could be fun to play after a long day.

The demo I played was a simple fall and I didn’t have enough time to get good at it, but I did manage to earn some points by getting close to buildings without hitting them. I also managed to steer straight into some buildings as well, which isn’t good for your score. My first pass I managed to miss the landing platform entirely, costing me a good score.

AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! -- A Reckless Disregard for Gravity is a PC title, the controls are pretty simple and the price is right at $9.95.
