Open-world sports game Snow announced

Independent developer Poppermost Productions, which I might add consists of three developers, has revealed their first game project titled Snow. Described as an open-world winter sports game, Snow is currently being built on CryEngine 3 and will allow players to explore an entire mountain environment on either skis or snowboards. The game will support both solo and multiplayer events and challenges, along with global leaderboards.
As well, players will be able to customize their characters through an in-game store that contains items from an array of actual clothing brands and such. The development team has also been able to partner with some of the biggest names in the winter sports community. Snow is scheduled for an alpha release later this year.
