Nyko will be on hand for the Electronic Game Show in Mexico City, running tomorrow through the 25th. The items they have for display, like the Type Pad Pro and Speaker Com 360, have been shown before at other events, but it's a good opportunity to see these peripherals if you didn't make it to E3 or CES. Personally I'm looking forward to their Wii Induction Charger, and the Nyko Wand I've been reviewing is excellent, so it'll be nice when the alternate colors reach store shelves.

MEXICO CITY, Mexico - October 21, 2009

Nyko® Technologies, the leading video game peripherals manufacturer, will be exhibiting at the upcoming Electronic Game Show (October 23rd–25th), showing off their current product line along with several unreleased items, including the Type Pad Pro for Wii™ and the Speaker Com 360. In addition, Nyko will be demonstrating the Charge Base IC, their new induction charging dock for the Wii, as well as the award-winning Wand controller for Wii in four fun new colors, and the innovative Zoom Case for Nintendo® DSi™, featuring a hard-shell protective case with a detachable 8x optical zoom lens. Stop by the Nyko booth (S27) to check out all the latest accessories for today’s video game consoles.

The Charge Base IC is Nyko’s first induction charging dock for the Wii. Instead of using metal contact points to recharge the Wii Remote or Wand’s batteries, the Charge Base IC utilizes induction technology to charge your controllers. The design of the Charge Base IC allows Wii Remotes or Wands to be charged without having to remove any silicone jackets or attachments such as Wii Motion Plus. The Charge Base IC utilizes powerful magnets to suspend each controller in the charging cradle, holding your controllers artfully in your entertainment center. The Charge Base IC also features a powered USB port which can be used for charging other devices.

Nyko’s Zoom Case, a protective case with a fixed 8x zoom lens for the DSi, significantly magnifies the handheld’s external camera. The Zoom Case wraps around the DSi, protecting it from bumps and scratches while the removable 8x optical zoom lens allows for closer, clearer shots from a greater distance. The zoom lens easily locks onto the Zoom Case, and when not in use can be safely stored in its own hard case for easy travel. The case’s textured grip provides a more comfortable hold for extended gameplay sessions.
