Oh man this really gives me hope. Killer Instinct is one of my favorite fighting games of all time and every day it pains me that we haven't at least gotten the original two games on Xbox Live but it seems that Microsoft who bought Rare has renewed the license for the game.
The official statement says "Our legal eagles have authorized us to say: 'We have either renewed or refiled a trademark application in various jurisdictions,'"
For those who don't remember the first two games were only available in arcades and Nintendo consoles such as the Super Nintendo, Gameboy and Nintendo 64 but since then nothing has come of the game.
Now while this gives me hope im not going to get my hopes up too much because this could just be Microsoft renewing the license so they have it locked while not doing anything with it.
Ill stay positive though because the day I get to hear these glorious announcements again in HD will be the day I can die happy
