Paradox Interactive has released a new video that's part developer diary, part "meet the cast" for their upcoming 2.5D action game The Showdown Effect. The video introduces players to four of the 80s/90s action-movie archetypes you'll see in the game, including a time-traveler Austrian searching for his identity, a grizzled cop with only one day until retirement, a plucky girl genius searching for her father's killer, and a gentleman who believes the answer to any problem is punching it. Oh come on, admit it, you've seen at least one of these in a movie before.
The Showdown Effect comes out March 5th, but you can take part in the beta by heading on over to beta.theshowdowneffect.com.
