The rumors can all cease now as Reloaded Studios has officially picked up the rights to the recently canceled MMO
APB. Reloaded has big plans in store for the game and will breath new life into the title in 2011.
Realtime World’s MMO was shuttered earlier this year just a few short months after its launch when the company itself was shut down. Many companies have been rumored in the race tp pick up the shambles of the failed game but Reloaded is the one that has come out on top. The game is being renamed and re-branded as APB: Reloaded and will adopt a free-to-play model when it re-launches next year.
“APB was a game that had several exceptional features and some brilliant ideas, even though it was plagued by some initial balance and monetization issues," said Jushua Hong, CEO of GamersFirst, Reloaded’s parent company. "We want to take all the unique features of this title, such as its unparalleled character, weapon and car customization systems, and convert the game to a true free-to-play game”
