Double Eleven has announced that they are bringing Mode 7's hit-indie tactical game Frozen Synapse to both the PlayStation 3 and Vita through the PlayStation Network. This is the first game announced for distribution under Double Eleven’s new publishing venture, Double Eleven Games; they are perhaps best known for their previous development work on LittleBigPlanet Vita. The game, to be known as Frozen Synapse: Tactics, is being kept closely under wraps right now but Double Eleven is promising that it will be more than just a straight port.
If you have never had the joy of playing the original game, it is best described as a turn-based, tactical similar to a SWAT simulation. You get to plan out your moves along with the other players, at your own leisure, and then everything is resolved simultaneously. More information is expected to be revealed at this year’s Game Developers Conference which happens later this month.
