Every wonder what an R-Rated dark and gritty Mario web series would look like? The guys at Beat Down Boogie that released Modern Warfare Gear Solid have released the first episode of Mario Warfare to the public and it is amazing. In this first episode of "Mario Warfare" we get a somewhat realistic and violent look at what the war between Bowser's army and The Mushroom Kingdom. Lots of guns, unlimited ammo and lots of Equilibrium references.
Episode 2 is currently in the editing stages but if you are interested in seeing the project go any further you can help them out by backing them on Kickstarter. They are currently asking for $25,000 with 28 days to go and have raised about $900. I personally went with the $25 donation which gets you a signed copy of the DVD which will be sent to you after the final episode is released, exclusive sneak peaks and behind the scenes footage along with a special thank you on their website. In any case this one episode is already way better than that garbage movie that was released in the 90's.
