Dragon Age gets day one DLC

Talk about trying to get in on the DLC action quickly. Gamespot posted details on the DLC that you can purchase the first day of Dragon Age: Origin's release. Warden's Keep will add a new dungeon, six abilities, new items, and a base for trading. The update will cost you $7 so if you want ALL of DAO on the first day, you're going to have to shell out a few more bucks.

I don't know about these quick DLC items to try and garner more money. I mean, we're talking the release date of the game and already there's a paid DLC for it to add more features? Someone correct me but has there been a DLC released on the same day that was like this? I'm not talking about extra costumes or what not but new additional levels and items for the game.
