When
ASUS announced they were launching a 4K 31.5" monitor, they got my attention. I've been holding off on getting a 2560x1440 monitor just to see how much these puppies were going to be. I think I'll reconsider picking up that 2560x1440 monitor.
Engadget got their eyes on one and they revealed the pricing to be $3,799. With a resolution of 3840x2160 and an extremely thin bezel, ASUS looks like they have one very impressive screen here. Engadget also reports there's a 39-inch there as well, but the price wasn't announced.
$3,799 is a bit out of my price range, but I won't be surprised if these 4K panels drop a lot quicker in price than the previous generation of HD TVs and monitors. Until then, I'll be waiting on picking up a 4K TV or monitor.
