Over 100,000 confidential documents and trade secrets
may have been handed to
NVIDIA when four
AMD employees jumped ship to the rival company. At least that's what AMD is saying.
AMD's video card division seems to have lost some luster with NVIDIA being the brand name that a lot of people associate with, especially with their successes in the mobile area with Tegra. Could the documents and trade secrets be part of NVIDIA's rise?
AMD thinks that the documents were transferred to an external drive before the employees left. AMD also states that one of the managers Googled how to transfer large documents, which to me seems like a pretty unintelligent thing to do at work.
This story's just getting started so sit back, grab some popcorn, and let's watch the sparks fly between the two companies.
