Looks like Microsoft is working on drumming up some interest in the impending reveal of the new
Xbox, codename Durango. Those of us with an Xbox Live account probably all received the same teaser e-mail today about the big reveal on May 21st. If not, the details are pretty straight forward. On May 21st (which is a Tuesday) at 10:00 a.m. PST (1:00 p.m. EST), Microsoft will reveal details on the new Xbox to the world. They are touting it as “A New Generation Revealed” and will be broadcasting the event live on both Xbox Live or Xbox.com. If you can’t catch it live because you have to , you know, work or something, then you can follow the hash tag #XboxReveal on Twitter for all the giddiness.
Although the teaser e-mail is nondescript, it made me wonder what we will be seeing based on what is not included in it. Specifically, the graphics are 100% current gen Xbox 360, with the existing Nexus symbol, Xbox font and Xbox 360 green bordering it. So Microsoft isn’t tipping their hand on if there is any sort of redesign (likely) on the new Xbox logo or color scheme associated with the brand.
