According to CNET, Microsoft will be dropping the price tag on its 16GB and 32GB
Zune HD models to $199.99 and $269.99 respectively. They will also be releasing a 64GB model on April 12th for $349.99. The pricing puts them more in line with Apple's more popular iPod Touch lineup as well creating a direct competitor for the highest storage iPod touch.
In addition, CNET
confirmed that there will also be a firmware update to Zune 4.5 "soon" according to the report. The meat of the update will include the following features:
- Smart DJ Mix on Zune HD
- Picks on Zune HD
- Browsing and Streaming from Zune Marketplace on your TV via the Zune Dock
- Xvid and AVI Video Codec support
