Perfect World Entertainment has found some room in my brain. When I think of free-to-play titles, they are one of the first publishers that come to mind. The latest of their titles to enter closed betas is
Heroes of Three Kingdoms. This one is an odd duck. Sure it's a F2P MMO with a Far Eastern style, but it's also based on real Chinese history.
The product manager takes a few minutes to explain what this means for the game. Find out what makes it different, how the game events work, and why you should try it. Once you're finished,

Heroes of Three Kingdoms is launching its closed beta (next Tuesday, July 13) in less than 5 days from now and to help introduce players to the game, our very own Product Manager, AJ Potter, has released the first video developer diary explaining the Three Kingdoms era in Chinese history.

To celebrate the upcoming closed beta launch of Heroes of Three Kingdoms, we're giving away 19 prizes including the newest Kindle DX Reader, a ViewSonic 22 Inch LCD monitor, a flip Ultra HD Camcorder, a Radeon HD 5750 1GB Graphics Card, an Apple iPod Nano 8 GB, 3 Razer Laser Mice, 3 Razer Keyboards and 8 copies of John Woo's Red Cliff movie on DVD. Not bad for a free-to-play company!
