Looks like
Ubisoft's going to do away with paper manuals in future games, according to Kotaku. In its place will be in game instructions, which many games do anyways by making you play through a tutorial level. I don't think I've looked in a manual for a long time but it's nice to see a company trying to do their share in reducing the amount of materials used.
The last time I was excited to actually open up a game that wasn't a special edition for the goodies was in the old Origin days. I mean you got some cool stuff and the cloth maps were always fun to have around. Nowadays, you have to pay extra for that type of stuff though which is a little sad.
