Like the previous generation, AMD has released a single card that encompasses two of their current fastest GPUs for those that don't have Crossfire motherboards. The AMD
ATI Radeon HD 5970 is the fastest single card solution out there on the market today offering up to 5 TeraFLOPS of processing power in one single card.
The card also supports DirectX 11 so future games will be able to take advantage of this card such as
Aliens vs. Predator and
Battlefield Bad Company 2. You can also use this card to drive three monitors at once for a maximum resolution of 7680x1600 or what I want to call one bad-ass display.
It's a pretty big and expensive card so if you got the cash and the room in your PC, this is the monster to get. For pure speed, there's nothing that comes close right now.
