This latest “Making Of” video for
Split/Second doesn’t reveal too much new information than what we’ve already been told by Disney Interactive countless times previous. The experience of racing on their tracks is different from other racing games because it is interactive in the sense that you can explore more of its content. What that means is that you’ll be able to create shortcuts or block of certain paths by interacting with an on-screen queue to create an explosion or activate a lift for the shortcut.
What new information was interesting, however, was that spending time to develop your car by gaining new achievements with it will be reflected on the actual body work of your car. The more decals your car has, the more achievements you’ve gotten. This adds to a competitive edge for what I imagine the multiplayer experience will be like.
Check out the third video installment detailing the tracks and the cars of Split/Second below.
Split/Second is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older and will be available in North America on May 18th, 2010 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. Winner of the prestigious Game Critics Award as Best Racing Game of E3, Split/Second has a SRP of $59.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3 and $49.99 for Windows PC.
