I was a bit surprised at how much Cyril and Sean liked Space Invaders Extreme as the folks behind the game did a better job of re-inventing the gamplay than I thought they would. Given the success of the first re-make it's no surprise that we're getting another game and we just received word that Space Invaders Extreme 2 will be available for purchase next week (well October 20th for those who want a specific date).
The new version is getting a few new modes, new backgrounds, and new mini-events. Absent though is a PSP version as it looks like we are only getting a DS version so far (news that will greatly disappoint Cyril).
