Sony has
trademarked the name "Cloudsurf" which is leading to all kinds of speculation about Sony building a cloud service for the Playstation 3. Such a service could theoretically allow you to put all your save games in a cloud which would allow you to move them off your local hard drive. It could also allow you to share content (such as
LittleBigPlanet levels) with other people without having to sneaker net the files over to them.
The real question though is if this is the premium service that Sony is rumored to have in the works. Hopefully we'll get more information on this at CES this week but I'm guessing Sony is going to do their big unveil at E3 this year.
Thanks to
CVG for the scoop.
