Eight years ago today, one of the most tragic terrorist attacks happened on U.S. soil as thousands lost their lives as terrorists crashes commercial planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Another building was spared as some brave passengers tried to take control of United Airlines Flight 93 but crashed in a field in Pennsylvania.
I remember the day as I was working at AEP and heard one of my co-workers talk to his brother on his cell phone after the initial crashes into the World Trade Center. We were in a meeting and a few of us decided to head home to be with our loved ones relatively quickly.
My thoughts and prayers go out to those that have lost someone today at those events.
