It’s the start of yet another work week, which means Nintendo has released their weekly lineup of downloadable games that have hit the Wii and DSi Wares.
You’ll find two titles available on the WiiWare. This includes Derby Dogs (500 Wii points), which functions as a dog-breading simulation game. By raising and training them, players can send their virtual pets on races against others via wi-fi to win prize money. The other currently available title is Triple Running Sports (500 Wii points), which is fairly self explanatory. While Derby Dogs allows you to race your pups, Triple Running Sports lays the competition on your head in competitive running complete with hurdle jumps.
The DSiWare has three titles available for download this week. A pet simulation of its own, the DSi can be equipped with Go Fetch! (500 DSi points) in which players interact with their puppies in games of fetch. This isn’t a typical backyard, ball tossing game however. Puppies must avoid obstacles and collect points in each stage. Card players can now access 21: Blackjack (200 DSi points) on the DSi. Lastly, the recently released Need for Speed: Nitro-X (800 DSi points) is also now available on the DSi. An update from the Nitro title, Nitro-X comes with a custom tag editor fitted for your DSi’s camera, as well as new cars (including police cars), tracks, locations and more. Through a local wi-fi, players can go up against three others in the multiplayer mode.
That’s all for this week. Check back next week for Nintendo’s weekly update.
