The fallout from yesterday's
reported layoffs has begun as
IGN got word that EA will be canceling some unnannounced projects. Does this mean EA's going back to churning out sequel after sequel instead of taking chances on original IPs? Could be and if so it would be pretty disappointing. It wasn't too long ago that EA wouldn't have done things like
Mirror's Edge or
Dead Space but we might be going back to the EA of endless sequels to past IPs without anything original coming to the fray.
