Versus Fighting Pad- Marvel Edition
PDP is known for making a wide variety of accessories for all of the popular consoles in today’s gaming market. Thanks to the launch of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, the company has been inspired to reach out to the fighting fans of the world with a new controller designed specifically for the fighting genre.
The Versus Fighting Pad- Marvel Edition, is a new product made specifically for Xbox 360 fighting games. The new controller is modeled off of actual arcade machines. The buttons of the controller utilizes actual microswitches, similar to the popular Sanwa parts used in high end joysticks and pushbuttons, for both its thumb stick and six face buttons. The pad reminds me a lot of the Neo Geo controller that was included with the Neo Geo CD system which was a hoy to use on the various SNK fighting games.
The controller is expected to ship to gaming retailers this week and will sell for $39.99. It will also be available through PDP’s website. The Xbox 360 version of the controller is the only version that has been announced thus far; it is unknown whether or not a PlayStation 3 version will be made available at a later time.
