Let’s be honest from the start: the chances of US gamers ever getting their hands on this game are pretty much non-existent... I thought I would share this with everyone because I know that a lot of people out there, along with myself, long for the glory days of the arcade scene to return to the United States.
Sega recently revealed a new arcade game for the Japanese market entitled Shining Force- Cross Raid. The title, which is the next release in Sega’s long running Shining series is a gorgeous action-RPG. The Shining series has been around since 1991 when it began on the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive; multiple titles have been released over the years since, usually on Sega consoles but also on the Gameboy (various versions), PlayStation 2, and mobile phone platforms. The game looks like an absolute blast with incredible visuals and 6-player cooperative multiplayer. Why, oh why, did the US arcade scene have to die?
