More On:
It’s Monday, so you had to expect the list of Nintendo downloads coming your way. Being that there is not much time left until the end of 2009, Nintendo is considering this their closing words for the year.
First off, I have to skip to the DSiWare straight off the bat here because of my excitement for The Oregon Trail. The only problem here is that it is on the DSiWare, but reminiscing about my days in elementary school fending off disease and hunger as I trek my way West is enough to keep that qualm quiet.
In following with the rest of the list for this particular platform, the DSi will also be offering a download for Sudoku Sensei, noted as the amiable puzzle game for the hardcore sudoku solver. Test your wits out now, sudoku geniuses.
If the sudoku addition to the DSi doesn’t satiate your thirst for puzzles, Nintendo also has Glow Artisan up their downloadable sleeves. You can even build your own puzzles with the editor, or your camera to turn your pictures into puzzles.
You can also puzzle your friends with Master of Illusion Express: Psychic Camera. Using the camera on your DSi, you can reveal the thoughts of your victims. So the next time your so-called friend is looking at your sister in a suspicious manner just snap a shot of them and catch them in the act of assumed suspicious thinking. Alright, it’s probably not that amazing. Still puzzling though, eh? Eh?
Lastly for the DSi we have Arcade Hoops Basketball. They say practice makes perfect, so if you’re looking to improve on some virtual dunking, this game is for you.
The Wii has four things to say about this weeks downloads: Castlevania The Adventure ReBirth, Eat! Fat! FIGHT!, RABBIDS LAB, and The Magic Obelisk. Seems like more than four things, but you get a nice slew of diverse downloads on the WiiWare. You can slip into something more old school with the new rendition of Castlevania, toy with a crazy Rabbid trapped in your Wiimote, or partake in some action-adventure travels as Popo the light spirit who guides Lukus the tree spirit through each stage of The Magic Obelisk. I also know some brute manly men who would definitely be interested in playing as a sumo wrestler in Eat! Fat! FIGHT!
Last, but very rarely least, the Virtual Console throws in its download of the end of the year. PilotWings from the oh-so-loved SNES (can you tell what generation I was born in?) is coming to you by way of Nintendo. You can choose to hang glide in a peaceful and serene setting, or rocket through an obstacle course for the more on edge experience.
And there you have it, folks. How do the end of 2009 Nintendo downloads look to you?

If that’s not enough, reach maximum velocity as you tackle a skydiving lesson at 3,800 feet. Complete specific objectives within a set time limit to score points (and maybe even a bonus chance) and obtain certification in eight different lessons. Your goals will become more challenging, and weather conditions will make controlling your vehicle more difficult as you progress.
