Nintendo's Media Summit held last week in San Francisco had a ton of news on their top tier games; unfortunately, with so much news on the big titles, little games like this flew under many people's radars. Nintendo and HAL Laboratory are looking to take the classic Picross game into a whole new dimension: the 3rd dimension.
Picross 3D for the Nintendo DS will be released on May 3, 2010 in North America, well over a year after the original Japanese release. The game will include over 350 puzzles on the cartridge and more will be available via DLC in the future. The original Picross game for the Nintendo DS is still one of my favorite puzzlers of all time. I can't imagine what the game is going to be like from this entirely new perspective.
