New Silent Hill movie now filming

Davis Films has kicked off the production of a new Silent Hill film this week in Toronto. The new film, which will be entitled Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is a direct sequel to the 2006 Silent Hill film.

The new movie is being written and directed by Michael J. Bassett, best known for his work on Deathwatch and Solomon Kane. The film is based on the third game of the Silent Hill series and will follow the story of Heather Mason as she fights the draw to the town of Silent Hill. Filming is expected to run through early May when post-production will begin and the film will begin its trek to cinemas.

Second Feature Film Adaptation of Best Selling Video Game Franchise to Begin Filming in Toronto on March 7th
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - Mar. 8, 2011 - Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced that Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, the sequel to the horror film Silent Hill based on KONAMI's popular game franchise, has begun production by Davis Films in Toronto, Ontario. Developed and published by KONAMI, the Silent Hill franchise pioneered the survival horror video game, by giving players visceral fear, haunting monsters, twisted storylines and blurred reality all set in the malevolent town of Silent Hill.

With much of the original creative body behind the first Silent Hill film, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D will be directed by Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane, Deathwatch), and will feature rising stars Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Vampire, Camilla Dickinson, Wasted on the Young) and Kit Harington (Game of Thrones).
